Alaska's Largest Music Store

Updated: Mammoth Music Is Moving

Mammoth Music is happy to announce that we are combining locations and bringing everything back under one roof.  We are currently in the process of moving all of the inventory from the South Anchorage (9200 Old Seward) location to our downtown store located at 500 E. 5th Ave.  At this point you may be asking why we are “happy to announce” this and now to address those questions:

Why Are We Moving?

Originally, our plan was to move into the south Anchorage store, with the intended goal of eventually purchasing the building.  Unfortunately, as a result of the bank changing their mind, we were locked into a five year lease with staggering and truly debilitating overhead.  Now that five years is up we are able to consolidate our two locations into one building.  This eliminates the aforementioned overhead expense while concurrently opening up capital for future endeavors.

What This Means For The Future

Our future plans include expanding our inventory and product lines but more excitingly it means that we will be adding onto our store.  While currently in the planning stages, the idea is to add not only more sales space but our own venue, cafe and more.

2012

We are looking forward to 2012 in the most positive ways.  Not only will we be continuing to offer the same great products that we have been, but we look forward to offering Alaska the same nationally competitive, if not better, pricing that we always have.  In addition to our sales and pricing, we look forward to providing Anchorage with continued support for live concerts and other events.

If you have any questions, please feel free to give us a call at 907-272-9944

Update:  I meant to include this yesterday but managed to completely forget.  In order to make the move easier we are having a massive moving sale at the store in South Anchorage!  If you are looking for anything in particular, or have been thinking about picking up an instrument for a while, now is the time to act!  After all, its going to be a long, cold winter.
